Our funds have come from private donors, corporate entities, and foundations. We are happy to provide bespoke grant and partnership proposals. Please contact our team to learn more.

By donating $10,000, you will be supporting 10 students with scholarships that can cover several needs, including but not limited to-- passport fees, visa fees, airline travel expenses, tuition & housing reimbursement, and many other incidentals.

By donating $1000, you will enable 10 students to receive access to a 6-month language learning subscription platform.

By donating $1,000, you will support 5 students needing financial assistance with obtaining a passport or visa.

By donating $5,000 worth of in-kind flight vouchers, you will support 4 students and their study abroad journeys.
Our Future Goals
Our goal is to usher in a transcendental and tangible shift in the African American community by creating generations of global citizens. To do this, we plan to significantly expand our education, advocacy, and scholarship programs. In our work with students, universities, and program providers, we have learned there are numerous ways to drive impact and create pathways to study abroad.
Advocacy
Advocacy is the effort of advancing and championing the value of study abroad for diverse communities. Our goal is to usher in a transcendental shift in the African American community by creating generations of global citizens.
Education
Education is a critical component of our mission. Joy Worldwide’s education programming empowers students to reimagine and introduce change in five key areas: healthier lifestyles, political involvement, familial structures, financial literacy, and sustainability.
Scholarships
Scholarships and financial aid are impactful tools that empower African American students to study abroad. These scholarships can include passport and visa fees, flights and travel expenses, tuition and housing reimbursement, and incidentals.
