Travel Industry Gathers to Discuss Empowerment and Growth of Black Talent at “Navigating New Routes” Event

New York, USA - February 24, 2025 - On February 20, 2025, leaders in the travel industry came together for the event titled, “Navigating New Routes: The Past, Present, and Future of Black Talent in Travel.” The event, held in celebration of Black History Month, was a dynamic conversation on how travel serves as a catalyst for personal growth, empowerment, and social impact.

Moderated by Joy Donnelly, Executive Director of Joy Worldwide Inc., the event featured a conversation with Erica Carey, Vice President of HR Consulting at Hilton, with attendees from from Delta Airlines, Hilton, and Amex GBT. The discussion highlighted pathways and careers in the travel industry, the powerful role travel plays as a catalyst for change, and the future and the next generation of professionals in the travel industry. 

The panel session was followed by a thought-provoking Q&A and a lively networking mixer, where attendees connected and exchanged ideas, furthering the event’s mission of fostering growth, inclusivity, and mentorship within the travel industry.
