9 Students Selected to Receive Summer Study Abroad Scholarships Through Joy Worldwide Inc.’s First-Ever Summer Cohort

New York, USA – June 7, 2026 – Joy Worldwide Inc. (JWW) is proud to announce the successful launch of its first-ever summer scholarship cohort, supporting students pursuing short-term study abroad programs. This inaugural initiative reflects the organization’s continued commitment to expanding access to transformative global experiences and empowering students to take meaningful first steps toward studying abroad.

This cohort, JWW, received 191 applications from across the country. Following a competitive selection process, 21 students were interviewed, and 9 students were selected to receive $250 scholarships to support their summer study abroad programs. In addition, one student qualified for a USAC scholarship match opportunity, further increasing the overall impact of the program.

Joy Donnelly, Executive Director and Founder of Joy Worldwide Inc., highlighted the significance of launching the organization’s first summer scholarship initiative, sharing, “I’m so grateful to launch our first summer scholarship. Many students gain the confidence to pursue longer experiences after their first short summer or winter program, so supporting that crucial first step will significantly expand access to transformative global experiences.”
